I have seen articles on the net predicting the failure of BlackBerry PlayBook well before its launch. I am a great BlackBerry fan and I have a few reasons to give here that why PlayBook cannot fail.
- If we look around us, we will see that all our desktops and laptops are made to work in landscape mode. BlackBerry PlayBook is the first tablet made to run in landscape mode by default. This means, we will have more familiar feeling and apps will be made to be seen wider. - Weights only 0.9 lbs (425g).
- Reports say that PlayBook will also run Android applications which means the users will have access to already developed 1000s of applications.
- Most of the Android apps are free to download so users will not have to spend much on buying apps.
- Priced around US$ 499, it is a real competitive price.
- It will wirelessly connect to BlackBerry smartphone for real time access to email, calendar, address book, task list and BBM. This means you do not need to carry two phone connections – one for the phone and one for the tablet. Just use the connection of your BlackBerry phone.
