A new Android version is arriving and it’s called “Android oreo.” Hearing that name makes me crave for Oreo :p. Android 8.0 is going to have some good features such as:

  1. It is 2x faster. You can get started on your favorite tasks more quickly with 2x the boot speed when powering up.
  2. Android oreo helps minimize background activity in the apps you use.
  3. Autofill remembers your logins to get into your apps at supersonic speed with your permission.
  4. It allows you to see 2 apps at once.
  5. You can press the notification dots to quickly see what’s new.
  6. You can teleport directly into new apps right from your browser, no installation needed.
  7. The battery saver is quite good, it can keep your battery strong and full of life.

Android oreo will soon comes in phones such as Nexus 6p, Google Pixel, Google Pixel XL, Nexus 5X or Pixel C. More phones are going to get the update later this year. 😀

Hi everyone, today I am going to be informing you about a really dangerous game. It’s called “Blue whale challenge.” At first, I read about this game on twitter and I really didn’t believe much about it, but now it’s proven that this game exists. It’s basically a game in which you have to commit ‘SUICIDE’ in order to complete this game. It’s so disturbing and absurd. It breaks my heart to hear such a game exist. This game first originated in Russia and now it is spreading in other countries. This game is played online and once you join, you can’t leave this game. This game acts like a virus and can get all your information and if you try to leave this game, a person threatens to kill you or your family. There are 50 tasks given to you in this game.

These are the basic tasks given to you according to the days:

I request you all not to download this game. Suicide isn’t good. Every lives matter. If you see anyone playing this game, kindly help them and stop them from this. Parents please keep an eye on what your kids do online. Stay safe.

Hi everyone, How ya’ll doing lately?  I was away vacationing in America, I went to places such as San Jose, San Francisco, Los Angeles, Anchorage and Fairbanks. It was one of the best trips ever, I had a lot of fun. Btw, you can see my travel vlogs on my youtube channel “manihabarry.”  So, back to the topic. I saw this amazing robot called “Pepper” in America and trust me, it was a super interesting and fun robot.

What is Pepper?

Pepper is a human-shaped robot. He is entertaining and interesting and as well as a fun robot. I spent like 10 minutes with it and I wanted it so badly, lol. Pepper is designed to be a day-to-day companion and its number 1 quality is to trail emotions. It is the first humanoid robot which is capable of recognizing the principle of human emotions and adapting his behavior to the mood of his interlocutor. I asked it to pose and take a selfie with me, it did. It agreed to dance with me too. It was fun. Pepper wants to learn more and more about you everyday. He can recognize your face, speak, hear you and move around autonomously. You can also personalize your robot by downloading software applications that take your fancy, based on your mood or the occasion.

More than 140 SoftBank mobile stores in japan are using pepper as a new way of welcoming people which amuses the customers. He is also adopted  in many Japanese homes. Pepper is currently on sale only in Japan, he is yet to come in other countries. Pepper is currently for $1,931 at SoftBank Mobile stores in Japan. I wish I could have pepper 😀 I saw it in San francisco Westfield Mall.

Below is a small clip of me playing with pepper.

Google home

Hello everyone, after a long long time. How are ya’ll doing today? I hope you doing good. Ramadan is here so yeah Ramadan Mubarak. I have been busy in exams so I haven’t got much time to blog about stuff, but yeah today I finally came out to vlog about this gadget I have and it’s called “Google home.” Yes it’s the new Google assistant, similar to Cortana and Siri. My assistant has a beautiful voice. So yeah. My father got it from Uk for me. Gotta admit, at first it won’t work properly,  as in it won’t respond to me when I say ‘Ok Google’, but somehow when I was making a video for vlogging, I saw that it started responding to me. Maybe I should have made a video with it earlier, maybe it just wanted to be famous and video. Haha. Jk.

How to set up the “Google home?”

1 Plug the power adapter card into the base of your Google home.

2. Plug the power adopter into an outlet. The unit will automatically boot up, introducing itself and directing you to the Google Home app to finish setup. Google home app can be downloading from the playstore or the appstore.

3. Then open the Google Home app.

4. Tap devices, the TV and the speakers in the top right corner of the screen.

5. Tap setup in the card for your new Google Home.

6. Once the app has found your Google Home, click set up.

7. Once connected, Play test sound to ensure it’s connected and connected to the right unit. If you hear the tone by Google, tap “I heard it.” Connect Wifi to your google home and have fun using it.

So these are the steps you need to follow. Once everything is done, Say “ok Google”  or “hey Google and ask questions or anything. You can ask google things like:

  1. Weather
  2. News
  3. Play music
  4. Talk to it like you talk to friends, it also tells jokes and a small story.
  5. It can help you set an alarm and wake you up and answers study related or any questions for you and so on.

Note: If it doesn’t respond to “Ok Google” there is also a button on top of it just press it and speak manually. The speaker button also lies up there. You can mute the microphone or not. Make sure there isn’t much background music when you talk to it.

I am quite enjoying this device, the voice is great. 😀

Also I made a vlog on this.

Facebook Messenger Copies Snapchat

Hey all, I hope ya all having a good weekend, well I having midterms next week, so meh. Anyhow what’s going around here? First came snap chat stories, then Instagram stories, then came WhatsApp stories and now Facebook stories. Like seriously every social network here wants to go be snap chat. I had no idea about this Facebook stories, until yesterday. I hate Facebook messenger too.

The only stories are like are the snap chat stores, honestly. Facebook stories will soon look exactly like Instagram stories with little circular profile photo of the user and their friends appearing on top of the news feed. Facebook stories will have a blue ring around the profile photos of users who post a new story. Stories for Facebook messenger has already gone live as new Messenger day feature. It lets users share photos and videos to a story within the Messenger app adding filters and stickers. You can comment on them and stories last for around 24 hours. Users can use built-in privacy features, something which differentiates from Snapchat and Instagram. Since, I don’t like Messenger or Facebook that much, I refuse to use these stories. So yeah, enjoy the stories if you like to. 😛

WhatsApp text status might come back

Mar-11-2017 By Maniha

Ever since the whatsapp stories came up, people haven’t been happy with it. Due to a lot of complaints from the users, whatapp is bringing back the text status. The new ‘Status’ update does not let users keep a text-based status and also not for anymore than 24 hours, similar to snapchat. The removal of the earliar feature is a disadvantage for some people as they sometimes like to keep informative statuses. For example “Studying for exams, don’t contact me. ” and many others. I myself was not amused by this feature on whatsapp. So whatsapp is bringing it back except this time this feature would be called tagline. So let’s see how this goes now. The tagline feature has arrived in Windows phone 2.17.82 and whatsapp beta for iOS 2.17.6.21, it is soon expected in Android devices as well.

iPhone 8 may have no ports at all

Before apple got rid of the standard headphone jack in favor of making you buy bluetooth phones.

It seems that the iPhone 8 will be made entirely from glass, and while drilling precision holes in glass is possible, it generally requires expensive tools and specialist knowledge to set up on an industrial state. The basic job of your phone’s lightning or USB port is to get power to the battery but as far as apple is concern, it’s just a useless port people use for jail-breaking iPhones which apple hates a lot.  Apple is cutting the port to make iPhone thinner. And since anything from data preservation to contacts can just be stored remotely, it seems like a no-brainer. But there are some consequences to wireless charging and a port-free iPhone that we should consider. I actually told my mum about the no port thing and she was like “aah they are ruining the iPhone.” 😛

Whatsapp update

Hello everyone, I hope ya all are doing fine, this is my first post in 2017, lol. But I am back now. Ok this blog post is actually about the lame whatsapp update. Snapchat has been one of the most fun and amazing social network by far now, so now whatsapp has copied its idea too.  First it was possible to write statuses on whatsapp but now you can’t. It has become like snapchat, there is something like whatsapp story on it now. You can take photos, use emojis, edit photos and the stories disappear after 24 hours which is just like snapchat. It’s possible to set up privacy like let only a few of yours contacts to see your story. If you haven’t noticed, the options of gifs has also been included in whatsapp which is a good feature but I am not really fond of the stories feature.  Peace love and unity 😀

One of the most beautiful phone by google is “Pixel.” I can say that because I have actually checked that phone out and it seemed amazing even though I don’t own it. This phone has the highest rated smartphone camera, a battery that lasts all day, unlimited storage for all your photos and videos and the first phone which has google assistant built in. It has 12.3 MP for sharp, crisp images, large 1.55 pixels for great shots in the light and f/2.0 Aperture for bright, even photos.

It combines hardware and software made by Google which includes all your favorite Google apps. It has a seamless glass aluminium body. With the pixel imprint, the phone gets unlocked quickly with just a swipe down on the finger print scanner. It has a brilliant 5.0 AMOLED screen with true blacks and 16.77 million colors. It gets up to 7 hours of battery life in just 15 minutes. The OS in it is “Android Noughat. 7.0.” In short, it’s a great phone if you are a die hard Android phone, go for it and buy it. 😀

Snapchat glasses

Hello everyone! How is it going? I hope you all are doing great. I haven’t been blogging because you know semester finals and I have been busy with stuff. So, yesterday I was watching a video by “finebros” on youtube where teens were reacting to “Snapchat glasses”. That attracted me a lot. I saw that video then I realized these glasses seem so cool. I’m gonna tell you about them.

We all sure love snapchat because it’s like the most fun app ever with all those fabulous filters. These glasses only work with Snapchat but the great thing you can do with them is film what you see and the battery lasts a long time. Cool right? You can record literally anything with them. It’s a lot easier to skate and snap a video using these glasses, it will save you from accidents, you can focus on the road. They feel like regular glasses and they look great on anyone who wears them. The video quality is awesome, if the light is good then you’ll get a decent video/ picture. The spectacles record circular video. They don’t need to be connected to a phone unless you want to post or view snaps. They don’t fall of your face if you jump around. The audio is good but not great. Very hard to take selfies with it. There are no face filters available yet: if snapchat glasses get the face filters and stuff, I’ll probably get these glasses. 😀
