Google photos unlimited free storage has ended

This is such a bummer. Google photos as we all know and love has changed its policy.

The time is here. It has ended its unlimited free storage policies for photos and videos. This happened on June 1, 2021. Now any new videos you will upload will count towards the free 15 GB of storage that comes with every Google account. But it won’t affect the photos or videos uploaded before.

You can manage your storage data using a new free tool. Many users use google photos and google will notify you once the 15GB limit is hit. Google added a tool in the photos app to help manage the photos and videos. It will surface photos and videos that you may want to delete. You can clear out photos and videos that take space or you can switch to another Google account. You can also switch to One drive.

Are your photos limited if you are a pixel user?

If you’re a pixel user, you are exempted from any Google photo limits. It will let you upload videos and photos as you want. 🙂
