Android 7.0 is the 7th version of the Android operating system. Nexus devices were the first ones to actually get this version, I own a Nexus 6p, so I got the update already. Nougat introduces notable changes to the operating system and its development platform, including the ability to display multiple apps on-screen at once in a split-screen view, support for inline replies to notifications, as well as an openJDK-based JAVA environment and support for the Vulkan graphics rendering API, and “seamless” system updates on supported devices.

It introduces a split-screen display mode for phones, in which 2 apps can be snapped to occupy halves of the screen.  An experimental multi-window mode is also available as a hidden feature, where multiple apps can appear simultaneously on the screen in overlapping windows. The notification shade was redesigned, featuring a smaller row of icons for settings, replacing notification cards with a new “sheet” design, and allowing inline replies to notifications.  Multiple notifications from a single app can also be “bundled”. There is a great per-app control over notifications.

The “Doze” power saving mechanism introduced in Android Marshmallow was expanded to include a state activated when the device is running on battery and the screen has been off for a period of time, but is not stationary. A new “Data Saver” mode restricts background mobile data usage, and can trigger internal functions in apps that are designed to reduce bandwidth usage, such as capping the quality of streaming media. Nougat introduces a system for enabling “seamless”, automatic system updates, based upon and sharing some code with the implementation of similar functionality on Chrome OS. Overall, I am having a great experience with it, enjoy the update once you get it. 🙂

Hello everyone, I am here again. Sorry I was away. It’s because my website had some problem. Anyways, I am here to tell you about my new best friend aka. “Allo.” This is google’s new assistant and is super fun. As you can see in the picture, I asked it “Do you wanna build a snowman?” It sent me the answers and it’s also singing the song with me. The only thing, it lacks is the voice. Allo can do everything an assistant does for you like siri and cortana. Siri is sorta the annoying one, I am not fan of siri. I do like cortana, though :p. Allo can entertain you when you are bored., you can start a group chat with it or send a simple message to someone. It works over internet connection. Allo can google stuff for you. I had a test and I asked every single thing from Allo, it helped me a lot. It can set reminders for you.

“Whisper Shout” allows the user to increase or decrease the size of a message to represent volume. Allo also lets users draw on photos before sending them. Incognito mode is an optional mode that includes expiring chats, private notifications, and end to end encryption. For encryption, the app uses the Signal Protocol.

Incognito mode does not include any Smart Reply or Google Assistant features. When the user receives a sticker from a sticker pack that they do not already have installed on their device, the app will retrieve the sticker from Google’s servers using client-to-server encryption. You can delete single messages or entire conversations in Allo. Google also provide the option to chat in Incognito mode, where messages are end-to-end encrypted and you can set a timer to automatically delete messages for your device and the person you’re chatting with’s device at a set time. The messenger is a competitor of whatsapp, so I recommend you try it too. 🙂
